4Access offers its core 4Access solution, coupled with verified and/or trusted identity, for anyone needing to access any type of restricted or semi-restricted site. The uses cases are endless, but some of the major ones can be found in the following:
Residential Gated Estates – South Africa has more than 8000 gated estates and is considered a world leader in gated estate living. 4Access CORE BUSINESS OFFERING emerged out of gated estates in South Africa and the multitude and varieties of access control systems and solutions that prevail. In essence, 4Access has removed ALL THE COMPLEXITY, and simplified the solution for estate own management and staff, residents, visitors and Traders (anyone other than a visitor) and can now offer a 'Single Trusted/Verified Facial image' for universal access, across any estate which uses the 4Access Platform and Solutions. This will spell the end of Visitor Access Codes and the myriad POPI risks and all the repetitive admin that is associated with these codes.
Additionally, in conjunction with the 4Estates/Complexes Super App, residents can use the App in conjunction with 4Acess to allow residents, visitors and traders, seamless yet secure access.
Residential Complexes and Property Management Companies- 4Acess is ideal for residential complexes and/pr property management companies, as it provides seamless access to many different complexes. Additionally, in conjunction with the 4Estates/Complexes Super App, residents can use the App in conjunction with 4Acess to allow residents, visitors and traders, seamless yet secure access.
Traders (contractors, suppliers, food deliveries, courier, ANYONE other than a resident/visitor) – Trader access is central to the 4Access solutions to traders, particularly regarding the many thousands of contractors and suppliers that need to access many types of restricted area sites daily across South Africa.

4Access has processed tens of thousands of access requests across some large estates and precincts in South Africa and is ideally suited to assist gated estates and restricted sites across the country, to not only provide seamless, secure and trusted access for all traders but also to hugely reduce all the repetitive admin and costs associated with this access and in so doing save contractors time, which is their world, is money.
Commercial Office Parks – Many office parks across SA, still use a book or form, where a guard enforces a visitor to write their own and vehicle details down. Some commercial office parks use a visitor code-based system, which is far from ideal for reasons mentioned in About Us. The 4Accss solution is IDEAL for office parks, as in conjunction with the 4Access App, workers in these office parks can now use 4Access for their own access but also to invite clients and visitors, seamlessly and securely and in so doing, also massively reduce costs.
Commercial Precincts – As is the case with Commercial Office Parks, 4Access in tandem with the 4Access App, can be used across a Commercial Office Park for the purposes of aggregating and simplifying access across many buildings and companies.
Industrial Sites and Trade Zones – Industrial sites are ideally suited to benefit from 4Access, particularly Trader Access, as this is still a very manual process but with the additional health and safety and induction videos, work permits, and the likes required prior to access. By using 4Access, any Industrial site can now ensure that ALL Access requirements and protocols, are applied for and APPROVED IN ADVANCE. This includes watching induction videos and ensuring all work permits and other documentation is uploaded and submitted in advance, thereby ensuring no one every gets stuck at the get, as ALL access is approved in advance and directly written to the access control system.
Schools and any educational facilities (universities, colleges etc.) – 4Access is the IDEAL solution for not only managing and controlling access to schools, universities but also to assist with time and attendance, and helping keep an automatic register of attendance, which is largely all manual currently and a very admin intensive process. 4Access can also ensure that overall security is improved, particularly for private schools, where there is a risk of kidnapping,
Retail Centers (for semi restricted or Virtually Controlled and managed Access) – Whilst Retail Centers don't have fences or physical barriers for entry, there is still a need to manage and control some access, virtually, particularly in the case of Retail Center 'own contractors' and those of their tenants. 4Access is ideally placed to assist Retail Centers to manage and control this access, using the Trader Access Module, where all onboarding is done remotely and with either Facial Readers and/or Facial Recognition Camera's, with Cloud Based Monitoring, Access can be effectively managed and controlled and also ensure that ALL contractors are properly accredited, particularly with regard to health and safety protocols, to reduce the liability of the Retail Center owners, who are typically part of large property groups.
Storage Facilities – A solution for access to Storage Facilities has already been developed by 4Access to significantly streamline the process, from clients seeking storage, then applying and paying online and then also eliminating the need for uploading Copy ID's etc., as all this can be done and managed remotely. Storage facilities can also have much better and tighter controls for access to the storage facilities, to help reduce theft and control access for non-paying clients
Sports Stadiums – Sport Stadium is a 'Logical Choice' for all access to sports stadiums around SA. The emergence of fake online ticket sites and the frustration to print out tickets for rugby matches, like the All Blacks, Springboks test match in Cape Town in 2024, where it allegedly took hours to print out tickets are all solved by 4Access, in tandem with 4Identity. Tickets can be purchased and paid for online and access granted directly to the person(s) who have purchased the tickets. They simply need to take a verified selfie, which can then be used for direct access to the stadium, where they will be able to be identified by a Facial Reader, with no human intervention. This also then eradiates the fake ticket sale issue and reduces the costs associated with people having to man the current turnstiles, where the tickets are checked and then manually triggered.
Ad hoc events, such as music concerts – As is the case with Sports Stadiums, access to large music concerts or other events, can make use of the same solution with the same all-round benefits. For smaller events, where there might be a temporary access setup, then 4Access can write to a scanner or Facial Reader directly, where a person can be identified and approved for access by the guard.
Public Sector Site Access – 4Access is ideal for access to all public sector sites, be they construction, municipal offices, or any type of restricted or controlled access. Given the volume of people employed by the public sector, there is significant opportunity to streamline the process and reduce costs of access.
Regulatory Bodies (such as the Construction Industry Development Board, CIDB) – 4Access, in tandem with 4Identity and Trader Access to all construction sites, 4Access is ideally placed to assist in helping the lies of the CIDB to not only manage and control all its member companies and their employees but also access to these sites. The recent George Retail-Center collapse was a case in point, where to do this day, there was no accurate record of exactly who was on site, nor should this contractor ever have been allowed to access the site, as they did not meet all the requirements to even be approved for this project.
